Bethlehem Chapel

The Round 17 Closing Ceremony will take place in the Bethlehem Chapel, placed in the Old Town in Prague. The ceremonial hall is used to organize ceremonies, social and academic events such as graduation ceremonies, matriculation ceremonies, and academic council meetings. It is also used for international conferences, congresses, concerts, literature evenings, etc. There are 400 seats in the auditorium and 22 chairs on the stage.

How to reach the ceremony venue

The Bethlehem Chapel is located in the Old Town part of the Prague City, thus driving by car directly to the place is not recommended because of lack of parking lots and narrow city streets. Public transport and walk is a preferred way.

Before you can use public transport you have to buy a ticket – you can choose a ticket for 30 CZK valid for 30 min., 40 CZK valid for 90 min., 120 CZK valid for 24 hours or 330 CZK valid for 72 hours. The ticket should be signed (stamped) as soon as you board the bus. You will see yellow stamping machines in all modes of transport. The blank strip at the end of the ticket should be punched. Tickets can be bought in the Prague Public Transport booths which are located in the arrival halls of both Airport Terminals (credit cards are accepted there). It is also possible to buy the tickets from the vending machines at the bus stops (only coins are accepted there).

From the Vaclav Havel airport Praha (PRG)

By public transport bus, No.119 – The ceremony venue is accessible from the airport by public transport (approx. 30 minutes). Take the bus No. 119 from the Airport Terminal 1 or 2 to the final stop Nádraži Veleslavín, then use subway line A to the station Staroměstská. Then take a walk through streets Žatecká, Marianské náměstí (square) and Husova to Betlémské náměstí (square). There is no direct train or subway connection to/from the airport.

Taxi service

In the city centre, taxis are easy to take from the street but we strongly recommend you use hotel taxis or to call a taxi by phone through the radio taxi service.

Prague Airport Transfers

The journey takes about 30 minutes depending on traffic. It is advisable to agree on the fare in advance. To take a taxi, contact counters of taxi operators located at the arrival hall of Terminal 1 and 2. Departure points are situated in front of the arrival halls. Notify the driver in advance, that you request a bill (printed from the taximeter, not handwritten). Do not take a taxi if the drivers contact you in the arrival hall!

From the main railway station (HLAVNI NADRAZI)

The ceremony venue is easily accessible from the Main Railway Station by public transport (30 min). Take metro line C in a direction to Letňany and take off at next station Florenc and change line to B direction Zličín. Take off at Národní třída station and take a short walk through streets Spálená and Na Perštýně to Betlémské náměstí (square).

From the Holešovice railway station (NADRAZI HOLESOVICE)

The ceremony venue can be reached from the Holesovice Railway Station by public transport (30 min). Take metro line C in the direction to Háje and take off at Florenc station and change line to B direction Zličín. Take off at Národní třída station and take a short walk through streets Spálená and Na Perštýně to Betlémské náměstí (square).
